I have a question: Why does isotretinoin cause dry eyes? I know that it is possible that this persists (yes, me)... But at what mechanism does it cause the dry eyes??? I have never found the reason for that... Do you know???

I don't know but the dry eyes may be down to alteration of the fatty acid metabolism. Or maybe as it shrinks sebaceous glands, it may also shrink the glands which produce mucous to lubricate the eyes. If you are suffering from permanent side effects of roaccutane all I can suggest is to try Field Control Therapy which claims to repair DNA. Since the problems of roaccutane toxicity are claimed to be down to alteration in gene expression this would seem to be the logical therapy to try. By the way I am not a Field Control Therapist so I have no vested interest in promoting this therapy. I am aware of it and how it has worked for a lot of sick people where other therapies have failed.
